Tooele – Ruth McLaws Hector age 80 passed away August 7 1988 after a lingering illness. Born October 29, 1907 in Tooele to Robert Fleming and Florence Fullmer McLaws. Married Winford “Ink” Hector January 12, 1928. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 27, 1963. He died February 3, 1974 Active member LDS Church. She loved to cook and make quilts. She was dearly loved by all.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law. Mrs. Wes (Barbara) Simmons Cochise, Arizona, Mrs. Ross L. (Norma) Allen, Sunset; Mrs. Bill (Sharon) Gibson, Provo; Mrs. Stanley R (Karla) Snow, Tooele. 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Florence Bradford, Sarah Frailey, Minnie Miller, Clance Medford. Preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10. 11 am Tooele 5th-8th LDS Ward. 196 North Pinehurst Ave. Friends may call Tate Mortuary. Tuesday 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
