Janie Orvin Stafford, 82, passed away April 28, 1979 in Salt Lake City.
Born Feb. 23, 1897 in Saint Stephen, S.C. to Jeremiah and Rhoda Ann Windham Orvin. Married George S. Stafford Dec. 11, 1933, in Logan. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Sept 2, 1965. He died Feb. 9, 1962. Member of the 27th Ward, Emigration Stake, and served as Relief Society president.
Survivors nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Tuesday noon, at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to the Utah American Cancer Society.
